Teams and stuff

So a while back I wrote a whole huge post about there being no DStM now, PStM's success in the last couple of seasons, and DStP's presence here too.
It was a masterpiece of wit and erudition, and less than two hours later, Isai deleted it. By "accident".
ANYWAY.
DStM are no more, but everything still has their name and logo. PStM are doing not-so-bad, winning our last two etf2l seasons (div 5 and div4), and Don't Shoot the Panda are as amazingly keen as ever, improving rapidly with it.
This post is really about PStM failing to fail and becoming e-famous in the most minor of ways, with our very own VanillaTV shoutcast, having reached the final of the cp_croissant one-night cup in the highest bracket (DStP also got to the semis in the high bracket, so gg to them too).
http://www.vanillatf2.org/media/vod/312232/
Lost it 2-1 in the end due to an abject failure to not stand in the path of crit stickies and then our not-quite-thought-through decision to have just half the team contest our cp 2 at about 30s left to go, at 1-1, and die there. Oh well, so it goes.
In other news, we're still looking for a carry-soldier to take Animal's place as his crazy work shifts make it hard to be around.
Welcome to Coco!

Hey folks
Has been a while since I have written one of these so thought I will update you on everything that is going on!
DStM seem to be doing reasonably well in ETF2L, with another few points securing a top 3 finish, which hopefully will mean promotion to div1. in ESL it is very much in our hands, if we win our last 2 games we will come top of the group. In Wireplay, we finished 2nd, behind a team who should probably be in the premier division, so its no mean feat! More recently the good captain has announced that he is stepping down from full time scouting to focus on University, so the neverending search for a player starts again!
With Isai gone for a month (he met a finnish girl you know- would rather go to finland to visit her than LAN) PStM slipped into a coma, but should still recover to win their division fairly comfortably. Hopefully they can get back to were they where before he left, and push on into hopefully div3 next season!
CStM have unfortunately had to drop due to the ever continuous roster issues (bit of a running topic). I'm fairly sure saadyst has a plan of what he is going to do, and he is capable of rebuilding a team, and within the community the help and support is there to assist with that (thats looking at you luke "I think you should search for a backup for me" Noble).
This brings me onto a new point. In the last week or so Robin came to me asking if we wanted another team in the community. In all honesty I was skeptical at first, but come to think of it, the more the merrier. It should hopefully bring a breathe of fresh air into mumble, and help us to progress as a growing community. So I would like to welcome the team formerly known as Panda Society. As far as I know they play a lot with the P and C StM guys so hopefully not to many unfamiliar faces in there! They even have a guy whos name is arguably worse than the good Capitan previously mentioned. I have been speaking with Trane and for the start it will be a 'probation' period of sorts, just make sure everyone fits in etc but hopefully it won't be a problem.
With the community coming up on almost 2 years, we have recently been looking at getting picked up by an organisation, with varying degrees of interest, success and then abck to the start. However, for the last few months me and Lore have been doing some preparation to see if we could maybe find a few sponsors to cover things like servers, lan wear and any extra incentives. We have only recently started applying but initially things are looking promising. One of the problems we have is that we are TF2 only, but then a huge positive is that we are well known throughout TF2. In light of this I have been in talks with a server provider http://www.gameplayservers.com who are keen to help in some shape or form. However, one of the pre-requisites is that we get as many people as we can to join their steam group, which is available on the forums. Obviously this is a 2 way thing and we will need to do our part in promoting their servers throughout the community where possible, but at the moment things are looking promising.
Going further on from this I am looking at getting StM more up to date, in the next few days the website will be updated with all the relevant information, and generally tidied up. This may take a bit longer as I need to get hold of Lord Hannisen in order to amend the forums. With this it would be nice if people could post suggestions of what they want / would like to see on the forum topic (in general discussion) so we can implement it, and start progressing from there.
I'll let you know how I get on but in the mean time, do us all a favour and add your mates!
Thanks
Ryan
PS I forgot and broke the forum, sorry

Well people, its been a long time since there was an update.
CSTM
Well, season 9 in Div5 has started slowly for CSTM. Like DSTM and PSTM before them, roster issues, lack of play together and some postion changes this has resulted in CSTM's first foray into Div5 being tough. I'd like to point out that this happened to DSTM and then PSTM, who spent 2 seasons in div5 each, with the first time through being a good learning ground, and both teams becoming more stable, which in DSTM's case meant they won their div5, dropping 1 point and PSTM, who so far have played 6 won 6. Hopefully CSTM can get the players together and towards the middle/end of this season have enough stability to put in some good performances, to take into next season
PSTM
Well after the mess of our last time in Div5 we have sorted our roster, with Adel/Prey/Isai and myself being joined by Ismekk and Stko. And our time spent playing together for the last 50 days or so has seen us play a lot of teams from div4 and 5 and usually come out on top. The loss of Fragmented, who started his own team and Ricey who has become addicted to Rift was tough to deal with initially, but they will join us at i42 later this month to relive the good old times!
DSTM
Well I dont really know much about whats going on with u guys, seem to be uppin your game for your Div2 status, quite a big jump from div4 last time i Imagine! If any of u guys have any news then feel free to post it!
i42.
12 of us are going to drink, game and be merry. Roll on Easter Weekend

As I am stuck in London with nothing else better to do I thought I would wish you all Merry Christmas (or whatever you may celebrate at this time of year!) and have a good time. I would hazard a guess that it will be fairly quiet until into the new year, so I shall see everyone as and when people drift back in front of their computers!
Happy Holidays!
Ryan
